Case Study: Xomio

Feature Ideation for Xomio, Crafting User-Centric Solutions.

At Immobel, I took charge of designing and developing Xomio, a multifaceted real estate solution. Beyond meeting leadership expectations, my creative input led to a suite of unique features.
A pivotal element is our reimagined saved listing experience, inspired by Pinterest. Users can seamlessly add notes, assign ratings, and curate listings for a personalized touch, promoting sustained engagement on the platform.
Among Xomio's impressive features is the ability to share saved collections in 19 languages. For instance, a Spanish-American user can conduct searches in English and share collections with Spanish-speaking family, enhancing inclusivity.
I've seamlessly translated creative concepts into functional features, a testament to my skills. While this is just one aspect of Xomio's innovation, it represents a broader commitment to user-centric design and collaboration, defining our approach to revolutionizing real estate technology.

Dynamic Kanban CRM Transforming Lead Management Into a Highlighted User Experience

In response to the need for efficient lead management, I introduced a user-friendly CRM within Xomio. Every new user signing up seamlessly enters the light CRM, providing a centralized hub for lead organization.
A standout feature of the CRM is the integration of Kanban boards, offering a visual and dynamic way to manage leads. Users can customize columns, set color codes, add tags, and effortlessly drag and drop client thumbnails, enhancing organization and workflow.
In recognizing the need for accessibility, the CRM embraces integrations and provides accessible ways to link websites, ensuring a seamless and efficient lead management process for users at varying technical proficiency levels.
To maintain simplicity and user engagement in the Kanban view, I opted for icons instead of user photos. After careful consideration, I decided on neutral graphic icons, steering away from potential non-inclusive situations. These icons, depicting random fun items, create an inclusive and visually appealing experience for all users.
Recognizing the diverse technical aptitudes of our users, we designed a list view for a more accessible mobile experience. Here, users can personalize the order of client information display, ensuring flexibility and ease of use.
Understanding the importance of user guidance, particularly for those less tech-savvy, we implemented clear empty stage pages, FAQs, and suggested flow setups. This ensures a smooth onboarding experience, even for users unfamiliar with CRM systems.

Design Simplicity a User-Friendly Customization Approach

A pivotal goal in our development was to ensure that users never felt like they were coding; every action is a simple click and select. To offer creative freedom without the complexity, we introduced the "By the Block" concept. Each block comprises template options, allowing users to effortlessly turn on/off and rearrange components on the page.
Recognizing the uniform structure of real estate websites, this approach provided a structured yet customizable canvas. Users choose primary and secondary colors, while we handle the consistency of additional color shades based on established rules. Font styles are selected by the user, and we seamlessly apply them across the site, ensuring a consistent design language. Multi-language support is integrated, allowing users to launch a fully translated website without the need for additional translation efforts.
Xomio's template variety includes options with animation features, ensuring dynamic and engaging designs. For image and video galleries, we streamlined the process, retaining uploaded images for efficient management.
Text input is user-friendly; users can manually enter text or leverage pre-translated options for headers and sections, available in 19 languages. For custom text, users can add content by professional translation services, automated translation, or manual input.
My emphasis on user-centric design aligned with leadership goals to prevent the creation of unattractive websites. Recognizing our user base's demographics, with a tendency towards older and less technically inclined users, our platform enables self-service with simplicity at its core.
Through rigorous testing and user feedback, we found the sweet spot: users desire the freedom to express themselves visually but are intimidated by complicated builds and intricate details. Xomio strikes the balance, allowing real estate professionals to create visually appealing, personalized websites effortlessly.

Elevating Visibility and Accessibility With Robust SEO and ADA Compliance

Beyond the aesthetics and user experience, Xomio prioritizes functional requirements, with a strong emphasis on multilingual SEO and ADA compliance. Recognizing the importance of these features, we collaborated with consultants and our tech teams to devise an approach that met our ambitious goals.
For SEO, we engaged both high-level consultants for portal solutions and cost-effective, in-house strategies for lower levels. The result is a platform that not only meets but exceeds our SEO objectives. The implementation of multi-language SEO across all 19 languages ensures a global reach for our users.
We wanted to be more than ADA compliant, we wanted to hit the highest standards and do it in all 19 languages for a seamless accessible user experience.
Working closely with the tech team, we developed comprehensive Google Analytics dashboards. These dashboards provide clients with clear, data-organized insights into their websites, empowering them with valuable information for strategic decision-making.
